With DNS-O-Matic, you can propagate IP address changes across multiple services such as <a title=\"DynDNS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dyndns.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">DynDNS<\/a>, OpenDNS and many others.<\/h4>\n<p>With <a title=\"DD-WRT\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dd-wrt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">DD-WRT<\/a>, you can set-up DNS-O-Matic so that your services stay updated with your IP changes as soon as they happen.<\/p>\n<p>This article will very quickly go through the process of setting DNS-O-Matic on your DD-WRT powered router.<!--more--><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Firstly, make sure you have a DNS-O-Matic account. If you don&#8217;t, sign up for one <a title=\"DNS-O-Matic Create Account\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dnsomatic.com\/create\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure your services are linked with your DNS-O-Matic account. You can do this by clicking <em>&#8216;Add a service&#8217;<\/em> on your account page.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <em>Setup<\/em> &gt; <em>DDNS<\/em> page in your DD-WRT gateway.<\/li>\n<li>Fill in the following:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div><strong>DDNS Service:<\/strong> Custom<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><strong>DYNDNS Server:<\/strong> updates.dnsomatic.com<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><strong>User Name:<\/strong> Your DNS-O-Matic username<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong>Password:<\/strong> Your DNS-O-Matic password<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><strong>Host Name:<\/strong> all.dnsomatic.com<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong>URL:<\/strong> https:\/\/updates.dnsomatic.com\/nic\/update?<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><strong>Additional DDNS Options:<\/strong> Optional &#8211; I leave mine blank<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong>Do not use external IP check:<\/strong> I have mine selected to &#8216;Yes&#8217;&#8230; from the sounds of it (there is no good documentation on this option), you only need to set this to &#8216;No&#8217; if your router is not providing the correct WAN address.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><strong>Force Update Interval:<\/strong> I set my value to 10. This basically tells the router to force update your IP even if it <em>thinks<\/em> it hasn&#8217;t changed. This could come in handy if your router somehow thinks that your IP address has not changed when in actual fact it has.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>5.
